  • Overview

    We are currently hiring for a Complex Senior Group Sales Manager.  Crestline Hotels & Resorts has three (3) properties in Orlando, Florida (all Hilton Brand Flags).


    The ultimate mission of this role will be to solicit, sell, and contract rooms for assigned market in coordination with transient demand patterns and existing group business in order to maximize hotel room and related revenues for all three properties.


    This position is responsible for using independent judgment and professional discretion to book substantial, profitable business into the hotel, taking into consideration the needs of the hotel as well as those of the client. This position must be able to take the general pricing guidelines and booking patterns into consideration and make sound business decisions that will positively impact the hotel’s revenue.


    Essential Functions Statement(s)



    • Conducts effective sales programs in established group room markets by setting and achieving goals.
    • Achieves sales goals.
    • Is proficient in developing a market analysis and developing a business plan to react to market demands.
    • Researches all possibilities to secure business opportunities.
    • Responsible for achieving annual budgeted goal allocations and developing objectives to meet them.
    • Manages guest and meeting space appropriately in order to maximize revenue.
    • Negotiate contracts with such service providers and suppliers as hotels, convention centers, and speakers.
    • Evaluates potential business for existing and new markets.
    • Prepares specialized reports, as needed.
    • Review event bills for accuracy and approve payment.
    • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote property.
    • Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs.
    • Communicates accurate information on in-house groups to help hotel associates service their needs most completely.
    • Understands forecasting and month end reports and assists with these when needed.
    • Anticipates (or reacts to) group problems and provides a solution.
    • Ensures that all guest checks, payments, master folios and advanced deposits are submitted to Accounting; ensures that any other group information, which is necessary and/or helpful for successful convention business, is submitted to appropriate departments.
    • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved.
    • Responsible for planning, developing and growing sales with Corporations, Associations, Tour & Travel, and SMERF.
    • Assists in the training and development of less experienced level sales managers.
    • Maintains effective communications, with all those necessary, regarding group business, reports of conferences, copies of correspondence and memos.
    • Develops and implements new/special market programs when needed.
    • Maintains daily contacts with in-house groups.
    • Keeps abreast of budgeted revenue goals and assists in putting together plans and actions or originates and generates business when needed.
    • Responsible for knowing and abiding by all department, hotel and Crestline policies and procedures.

    Education & Experience: 


    • Must have a high school diploma or GED plus four to five years of experience in hotel and/or conference center sales; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus at least two to three years of experience in hotel and/or conference center sales; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills and abilities.

    Preferred Skills and/or Education:

    • Hotel Sales Experience
    • Opera and M3 system experience
